Keep the energy of Eihwaz with you with this 3x3 hand painted magnet. When designing each piece, colors are carefully chosen based on their known meanings and associations. The colors used reflect and enhance the meaning of the rune. Each piece is thoughtfully and carefully made by hand with love and intentions.

Eihwaz is the 13th rune and is often associated with death. Just as the Death card in tarot, Eihwaz represents the ending of something and regrowth (green) following that ending. It contains inner strength and endurance (brown) to carry you through theses changes and also acts as a magical protector (black). Wear or carry this pendant with you when going through a major life change. May the energy of Eihwaz keep you strong and remind you that growth can come from change.

Eihwaz is often considered the death rune, but don't let this scare you. It represents death and regeneration (green). The ending of one thing so that something new may take its place. Many rites of passage, especially those that mark the transition into adulthood, contain the symbolism of death. The idea that one's “former self” or stage of life has died and given birth to something new. Eihwaz is a powerful rune to call upon when going through a transition period in your life, particularly one that feels as though it is marking the end of something. Events such as a divorce, the loss of a job, or finishing a college degree are all great examples of times where Eihwaz can lend you inner strength and the endurance (brown) to carry on through this challenging time of change. It also serves as a magical protector (black). Consider carrying Eihwaz with you during these moments of your life.

Eihwaz is linked to the Yew tree, a great evergreen which itself contains symbolism of death and regeneration. Yew trees can live thousands of years and in some instances, the world tree Yggdrasil is thought to be a Yew tree. Whether the world tree is Ash or Yew, we can still connect Eihwaz to it. Its very shape represents the trunk and the connection between worlds. Consider utilizing Eihwaz in your altar space to honor the world tree Yggdrasil.

While still abstract in nature, the idea behind this piece was to capture and represent the Yew tree of which this rune is associated. The dark background or "sky" symbolically representing a death or ending (like the night) while gradually emerging from this darkness we can see the green of life and new growth.
