Laguz means “water,” “sea,” or “ocean” and carries meanings associated with water. It represents fluidity and the ability to “go with the flow.” Laguz shows the law of opposites, such as how we cannot live long without water, but we also cannot live long in the water. It represents life, as all life comes from water and is sustained by it. Laguz also has connections to the moon, as water and the tides are ruled by the moon. Taking from the moon, this rune also represents emotions, intuition, dreams, and psychic abilities. Laguz is often considered the ultimate female rune, carrying feminine energy and embracing feminine sexuality. Laguz may be used in many ways. If you are at a point in your life where you often feel stiff, rigid, and unmoving, carry Laguz with you to help you recognize the moments where it may be more useful to go with the flow and let it lend you its energy.
